KONAMI ANNOUNCES OTOMEDIUS EXCELLENT NOW AVAILABLE

KONAMI’S Highly Anticipated Sequel Comes to North America With Gradius-Style, Shoot-Em-Up Gameplay

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Nov. 1, 2011 – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Otomedius Excellent is now available on the Xbox® 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.  Featuring stunning visuals and thrilling multiplayer action, the classic shoot-em-up 2D side-scrolling title brings back the beautiful women of Otomedius in their first North American appearance.

The sequel to the 2008 Japanese hit Otomedius Gorgeous, Otomedius Excellent brings over all the thrills of the Japanese release - including the original Japanese voices - to gamers stateside. With nine stunning characters to choose from and eight all-new stages of heart-pounding action, Otomedius Excellent presents an exciting world full of intense 2D side-scrolling shooter action.

Players can team up for the Otomedius experience with up to three players locally or online via Xbox® LIVE for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. An expanded gallery mode also allows players to view their unlocked wallpapers and graphics in a gallery that grows as they progress through the game. Gamers will also be able to tap into a wealth of exciting downloadable content to be announced later. As an added bonus, an exclusive special edition of the game will also be available, including a 2-sided pillowcase and 64-page artbook and soundtrack disc featuring music from the Otomedius and Gradius series.

Otomedius Excellent is rated T for Teen by the ESRB. The standard edition is now available on the Xbox 360®video game and entertainment system for $29.99, and the Special Edition is available for $49.99.
