If you missed "Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion" in 2011, you missed one of the best turn-based medieval wargames on the iPad. Tied to an elaborate campaign story, Ravenmark brought tactical depth and a WEGO (simultaneous turn) system to the mobile platform with style and colour.

This week, Witching Hour will release the second game in the Ravenmark series, Ravenmark: Mercenaries. Mercenaries adds multiplayer to the game, but also brings added complexity and player choice to the battlefield, moving beyond fixed units in the battle to letting you create, deploy and upgrade brigades of your own design.

In this thirteen minute gameplay video, Witching Hour walks you through the opening steps in a batte highlighting how Mercenaries distinguishes itself from Scourge of Estellion, and then you see a multiplayer battle that does not go entirely well.
