San Jose, CA - September 5, 2014 - Bandai Namco Games today announced the launch of Tamagotchi Classic 2nd Gen for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and Android devices. Tamagotchi Classic 2nd Gen is part of Bandai's worldwide smash hit Tamagotchi virtual pet phenomenon and follows the successful Tamagotchi Classic released in October 2013.

Tamagotchi Classic 2nd Gen features an all new-lineup of characters and like its predecessor, two play modes to choose from: TOY mode, in which users can enjoy raising their Tamagotchi in a virtual classic toy shell, and APP mode, where the Tamagotchi appears in an updated, colorful, full-screen environment. APP mode also features special color Tamagotchis that you won't find anywhere else!

In Tamagtochi Classic 2nd Gen, players can raise their Tamagotchi and collect stars to unlock items in the enhanced Gallery. Wallpapers and shells unlocked in the Gallery can be used to customize the game. A new memory match mini-game helps keep the Tamagotchi happy and satisfied. The enhanced tutorial and help system provide guidance for new and experienced players alike.
