Have you ever played Maniac Mansion and thought to yourself, "Man, this game needs some more Gradius!" well you're in luck.

Starr Mazer, the dream of Designer Don Thacker, who also handles the writing, is looking to be a unique combination of two game styles that have never really come together before: The time honored Point-and-Click Adventure game, and the twitchy madness of the side-scrolling SHUMP genre.

The game as presented in it's trailer has a particular vibe akin to the anime Space Dandy, not taking itself too seriously, and with a sheen of coolness. The game promises to have "Open-Middled Gameplay" meaning it's procedurally-generated for
replayability. The many permutations also lead into a variety of endings, hopefully giving you a more satisfying end than Mass Effect. Along with bullet points assuring high quality voice acting and chiptune soundtrack, Starr Mazer could end up being another great Kickstarter game success story.

The Kickstarter for Imagos Softworks inaugural game will begin it's plea for internet money on January 22nd.
