New Infographic Displays Evolution of Franchise Foes

LOS ANGELES (Oct. 9, 2015) - To prepare players for next week’s release of DRAGON QUEST HEROES®: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below™, SQUARE ENIX® today released a new infographic providing background on the iconic monsters that players will encounter during their adventure.

It tracks the evolution of the most memorable DRAGON QUEST® monsters, including slime, metal slime, healslime and the one-eyed giant, gigantes. Starting with their 8-bit designs from DRAGON QUEST and DRAGON QUEST II: Luminaries of the Legendary Lines™ to high definition in DRAGON QUEST HEROES: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, both fans and those new to the franchise will enjoy learning about some of the monsters they can befriend and battle.

Story:

A dark cloud has fallen over the city of Arba, driving the once peaceful monsters into a frenzied rage. As either the hero, Luceus, or the heroine, Aurora, the player joins forces with an iconic cast from previous DRAGON QUEST titles to bring the rampaging hordes of monsters to their senses and restore order to the kingdom.
