Albion Online: Video “Missions and Factions” released

In preparation for the Closed Beta, a video highlighting missions and factions has been released

Berlin, Germany - September 15, 2015 - Sandbox Interactive, developers of sandbox MMORPG Albion Online, have released a new video today that highlights two features of the upcoming Closed Beta, which is scheduled to start in November.

In this highlight video, Lead Game Designer Robin Henkys and Technical Director David Salz explain how missions work and how they are tied into Albion Online’s open world. They also discuss the influence of the missions on the economy in the world of Albion. And, last but not least, a little light is shed on the background story of some of the factions the players will encounter and interact with in Albion.

Hostile Territories are massive Regions that players can travel to using mysterious portals. Immense power lies in Hostile Territories in the form of Ether Resonators, fonts of power connected to the world of Skyforge, but so does great danger. Invading armies of creatures are drawn to Ether Resonators to feed on their power. Bold groups of players that work together can defeat creatures and offer them to Ether Resonators for mighty rewards. The deeper players travel into a Hostile Territory the more powerful the enemies and rewards become. 

Developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher My.com have revealed an all new expansive map in Armored Warfare called “The Pipelines.” Set near an oil refinery in the Middle East, the new map is divided down the middle by a river that flows right through it that can be crossed at several strategic places but dangerous points.
