Second Part of 'Road to Eternity' Reveals Pressures of Success after Kickstarter Ends

IRVINE, Calif. — March 23, 2015 —Obsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive today released the second part of “Road to Eternity,” a behind-the-scenes documentary that follows the creation of Pillars of Eternity, the fan-funded role-playing game (RPG) for Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs. Pillars of Eternity, which releases worldwide this Thursday, March 26, 2015, was funded over two years ago by more than 70 thousand backers, a process that is shown in this new chapter of the documentary. This portion reveals the sentiment and mindset at Obsidian as the weight of keeping their studio open was lifted – and immediately replaced by the pressure to live up to their backers’ expectations.

Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is currently in development for PC, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and will be available to purchase as a digital download in Summer 2015. Game's Flagship Monster Gore Magala Unites with Theme Park's Goliath Coaster for the Ultimate Vertical Adventure

San Mateo, Calif. — March 23, 2015 — Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, announced a partnership with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world’s largest regional theme park operator, to bring the Monster Hunter™ 4 Ultimate experience to guests at Six Flags Magic Mountain, the “Thrill Capital of the World.” As part of the campaign, the park’s Goliath roller coaster will be re-themed to Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate beginning March 28 and through August 10. To help kick off the opening weekend of the program, the national Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate traveling Caravan Tour will also be making a stop at Six Flags Magic Mountain for special event days on March 28 and 29.

Developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher My.com are pleased to reveal today how matchmaking works in Armored Warfare, which is completely unique from matchmaking in other tank games. Instead of hard-coded vehicle tiers, the Armored Warfare matchmaking algorithm uses a system of battle ratings, which allows for a much more fluid and comprehensive mechanism that not only works fast, but is also easily customizable. This allows Armored Warfare to quickly adjust general tank balance and tune it in order to for players to have the most fluid experience possible.
